Time to take a breath

Due to ongoing staff problems we have re-scheduled the blog release to ensure that it is no longer late, a trick we learnt from the government.

Anyway what have all you Ruperteers been up to over the last week we wonder?

Well on Sunday some fairly fit people and Liz completed the Up the Steps Walk to raise money and awareness for the cause. We don’t have a total raised as yet but £17.71 was dropped into the collection pots. Thanks to The Rotary Club of Bridgnorth for organising the event and all who took part.

Earlier in the week George Buckley held a meeting at The George to discuss next year’s Hadrian’s Wall Walk and the dates of 18th -25th May were agreed. The event is now listed on the website with full details of how to get involved, please contact George via the link if you fancy a stroll in 2018.

Having received the latest bank statement we can also confirm that Rupert’s Revenge has received a couple of substantial donations. Ross Farm Machinery donated a fantastic £1,250 and NatWest Midlands deposited a further £392.92. Both wonderful donations that are very much appreciated.

Going back a little further Helen Morris completed a half marathon on 17th September and in addition to donations placed by her supporters via Just Giving a further £85 was deposited direct into the bank. Big thanks Helen for your support.

Looking ahead we can all have a bit of a break because October is quiet now until Halloween Haunting at The Gym Club and then in November things ramp back up BIG STYLE but we will review these events closer to the time.
